In my first month in Switzerland, I couldn't help but talk about the high cost of living here. What shocked me most was the price of a roll of ten small trash bags, priced at a staggering $23. But there's a method behind this madness – a strategy to promote recycling. Here, we pay for trash collection based on the bags we use, while recycling is free. So, I began to wonder, could a similar waste management approach work in the US?
