Rove App - Automatic Journal

The Rove App is a lifelog, automatic journal. What exactly does that mean? When you eat at a restaurant it records how you got there, where you are eating and how long you were there.  It adds your photos and music automatically as well.

When I first opened this app I didn't 'get it'. I had not read about it or understood it's functionality. I was unimpressed. Two days later I opened the app again and to my suprise all my activities from the last two days where magically captured in this app. At first I thought it was a bit creepy but the developers claim privacy is a big deal for them. My second thought was - I will never need to recall where I was or what I was doing for a murder investigation, alibi secure!

Really though this app is quite impressive, some tweeking needed to be done but it's not hard to edit or add notes. I have my great-grandmother's daily diary from her travels with her husband. She wrote down quite mundane things like the grocery list or her daily activities (taking a walk etc.). Now that I'm the same age she was when she wrote her journal I really enjoy reading about her life and understanding her world.

If you're lazy with your journal and want an easier way to jot down notes about life than this app is definitely a good investment, it's free! I have not yet tried the paid version which only allows you then to export all this data. For $10 it may also be worth it in case the app is not around in 80 years.
