This is more of a relaxed walk, not a strenuous hike. I say that because it's a short stroll with hardly any uphill action. But you know what? It was a fantastic way to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon!

So, here's the deal. We kicked off our little adventure at the Basel tram stop, Airolostrasse. Then, we simply followed the yellow-marked trail, and in less than 10 minutes, we found ourselves at the Bruderholz Water Tower. And here's a fun tidbit: You can actually go inside the tower for a small fee!

Once we'd had our fill of tower exploration, we continued through the residential part of Bruderholz. We kept an eye out for the local 'hike 483 - Bruderholzweg' signs. Along the way, we stumbled upon this 'cut-your-own-flower' field, which added a charming touch to our walk. Then, before we knew it, we were wandering through some peaceful farmland.

Now, here's the scoop: the entire trail is paved. No big surprise that it was pretty busy with folks pushing strollers, rollerblading, and biking. After crossing the road, we hit the jackpot – the Predigerhof. They've got a restaurant, a cozy buvette, a spot for the kids to play around, and even some goats you can pet. And, hold on, they've got a bathroom, too!

The cool thing about this stroll/hike is that you can make it as short or long as you like. We stuck to the 483 trail, which led us in a loop near some gorgeous cherry trees.

On our way back north, just before reaching the residential area, we decided to check out the Mathis Hof. It was buzzing with activity when we swung by on a Sunday. The corn maze was about to close for the season, and the weather was just perfect. They've got a cute little shop, ice cream, and, of course, heaps of pumpkins you can nab. Plus, there's a bathroom – because, well, you know.

The best part about this stroll/hike? It feels like you've escaped the city, even though you're just a tram ride away from Basel. I'd totally recommend it for a laid-back weeknight outing. You'll love it!
