Day 10 - 20 days of me series
This is a series of posts that give you a better idea of who I am. I found the idea from Living off Love and Coffee's blog post but instead of 30 days, I'm only committing to 20. I Googled to see if there were another origins for this idea and found many '30 days of me' posts but this one I liked the most so here we go!
Day 10 - Something that is currently over-rated
When I asked my hubby, Jay, what he thought was over-rated and he said, fidget spinners, Bitcoin and fear of terrorism.
Well, actually, he said fear of terrorism first but I think I'm not in the correct headspace to tackle this subject. Then he said fidget spinners, I completely agree that these are over-rated but I really don't care enough about them to give them any more text than I already have. So let's discuss Bitcoin.
If you have just heard about Bitcoin in the news because the price is climbing exponentially, go check out the Bitcoin website and read more about the digital currency. The currency has been around for a long time but in the last year or so it's received much more press. I only know one person who has purchased Bitcoin so I don't have much personal experience with it either.

I'm actually all for something that cuts into the banks profits but it has to be just as safe as the banks (there is some tone of irony here, can you tell?). I think that it can work, and it has been working but at a relatively small scale. It could be getting some traction on larger scales, I heard in the news the other day that Venezuela has announced a digital currancy to help end their financial crisis. Will it work? Let's see.
I don't think digital currency will go away. In Switzerland they are completely revamping the banking and paying system to be completely digital, including changing the orange and red payment slips to include a QR code to more easy to pay digitally. Although that is not truly a digital currency, it paves the way for future advancements.
